Terms of service

Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of www.keptstore.co and to any order you place with Store My Dress Limited, trading as Kept Store ("we", "us", "our"). Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. About us

www.keptstore.co is operated by Store My Dress Limited, trading as Kept Store, of Imperial House, 79–81 Hornby Street, Bury BL9 5BN, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@keptstore.co or 0333 335 6509. We are not VAT registered, so our prices do not include VAT.

2. The products

We sell storage and conservation products for textiles, clothing and garments. We've taken care to display product colours and details accurately, but the images are illustrative and slight variations can occur.

3. Orders and contract formation

When you place an order you'll receive an email acknowledging it. This acknowledgement does not mean your order has been accepted. A binding contract is formed only when we email to confirm that your order has been dispatched. If we're unable to fulfil your order (for example, the item is out of stock or there's a pricing error), we'll let you know and refund any payment in full.

4. Price and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are the prices in force at the time you order. Delivery costs, where they apply, are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is taken at checkout via Shopify Payments. If a product's correct price is obviously different from the price shown and the error is one you could reasonably have recognised as a mispricing, we don't have to sell it to you at the wrong price.

5. Delivery

We deliver in line with our Shipping Policy. Larger storage boxes are available for delivery within the UK only. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we've received payment in full.

6. Your right to cancel and returns

If you're a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days and to return goods, as set out in full in our Return & Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Our consumer guarantee

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they're not, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement — see our Return & Refund Policy.

8. Acceptable use of the website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse it by knowingly introducing viruses or other harmful material, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or using it in any fraudulent or unlawful way. All content on the site (text, images, logos and the "Kept Store" branding) is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied or used without our permission.

9. Our liability

We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses (we supply to consumers for domestic and private use). If we fail to comply with these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach.

10. Events outside our control

We're not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example, severe weather, carrier disruption or supply failures). If such an event occurs we'll contact you and the time for performance will be extended; if the delay is substantial you can cancel and receive a refund for goods not delivered.

11. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain in force. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation; this won't affect your rights. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page at the time you order is the version that applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at hello@keptstore.co — we want to put it right. If we can't resolve it, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available for online purchases, and you may also seek help from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk / 0808 223 1133).
