ACID-FREE WEDDING DRESS STORAGE BOX - STANDARD SIZE
Your wedding dress was made to be kept — properly, carefully and without compromise.
Textile conservators recommend storing wedding dresses in an acid-free, unbuffered storage box to protect them from dust, damp, light, and moths, and to help them last a lifetime. This range is designed using the same museum-grade principles we use in professional conservation, adapted for home storage.
Every box is made from unbuffered, acid-free materials, chosen specifically for delicate, protein-based textiles such as silk, wool, tulle, feathers, leather, and embellishments — materials commonly found in wedding dresses and best kept away from buffered papers and boards.
Each box includes:
- 20 sheets of premium unbuffered acid-free tissue paper
- White cotton gloves
- Clear, conservator-written packing instructions
All boxes are constructed in the UK, delivered fully assembled, and PAT passed to ANSI ISO 18916.
Box or hanging bag?
Hanging keeps a dress upright; this box is designed for storing it flat, gently folded and supported with tissue. Choose enough space for the skirt, layers and train to rest comfortably without compression. Unlike hanging storage, packing in a box involves folds: keep these to a minimum and cushion each one with a soft tissue roll. See our size guide to choose the right fit.
Using the tissue paper
Gently fill the bodice, cups and structured areas with loosely scrunched acid-free, unbuffered tissue, without packing it tightly. Place tissue between skirt layers and soft tissue rolls inside folds to keep them gently curved rather than sharply creased. The dress should sit comfortably in the box, never compressed. Follow the included packing instructions or our care guide for the full method.
